6. Jessica Jones: Season 2

Returns: Likely 2017 This past weekend saw the series officially obtain a renewal for a second season, finally answering the question of whether fans would get more solo adventures of Jessica Jones after its first season released to critical acclaim. With the show having already run through the Kilgrave storyline that the Alias comics built to, the sky is now the limit on what it can do with the character. Fans will have to wait to find out when the series will be returning, but with Daredevil's second season, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all in the pipeline next, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Jessica's second outing comes after she teams up with the other Defenders next year, though it's entirely possible that Netflix and Marvel will find a way to squeeze her new season in earlier. There are many threads still dangling from season one that season two can work with, such as Will Simpson likely following in his comic counterpart's shoes to become the villainous Nuke, or Trish Walker becoming Hellcat. At the least, it'll be interesting to see where the show goes next now that - barring some unexpected bait and switch - David Tennant's amazing Kilgrave won't be around to steal every scene he's in.
