5. A Broken Reality
A dead giveaway that something here isn't quite right comes when Wanda (wearing present day attire) is shown watching a 1950s version of herself on television before coming face to face with the Vision in a black and white sitcom setting. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has promised that the series will be unlikely anything they've ever done before and, well, he wasn't kidding!
This adds further weight to the theory that Wanda may have actually been trapped here and if it is someone else's doing, it's likely Agatha Harkness. Played by Kathryn Hahn, Marvel has only said that the actress plays a "nosy neighbour" but she's been spotted dressed as a witch on set and, in the comics, Agatha was key in Wanda's mental breakdown.
Chances are someone is pulling her strings, of course, and seeing as the Scarlet Witch will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, that's probably a villain known as Nightmare, the ruler of the Dream Dimension. Manipulating Wanda by giving the hero her happily ever after in the American sitcoms she likely watched as a child in Sokovia while using her powers for his own nefarious means adds up.
