Marvel's Daredevil Season 3: 10 Biggest Questions We're Left With
7. How Did No One Realise How Troubled Dex Was?
The descent of Ben "Dex" Pointdexter and his gradual transformation into the villain we know as Bullseye is a fascinating part of Season 3 and Wilson Bethel kills it in the role. However, it can't help feeling a tad far-fetched that Dex has been able to hold down a successful job with the FBI when he's so clearly teetering on the edge of sanity.
Surely a previous psychological evaluation - when he was first employed, for instance - would have clued his bosses in on the fact that he has issues. We briefly see Dex chatting with a therapist following his rescue of Fisk and, OK, in this case he's smart enough to paint the picture that he's a well-adjusted guy with a fabricated story about his "girlfriend" Julie (really, the woman he's stalking).
However, surely someone at some point would have seen through his performance? After all, he only has one stock phrase when he's attempting empathy: "That must have been hard. Really hard."
