Marvel's Daredevil Season 3: 9 Villains That Should Appear

9. Gladiator

Although the Daredevil faithful will already be aware of Melvin Potter's violent tendencies in the comics, fans of the show will probably be surprised to hear that Melvin, while now an ally, will likely take a villainous turn in either this season or the next.

The show has done well to plant the seeds of the character's violent inclinations so far, going as far as to show the beginnings of his Gladiator suit in season 2, so it's possible that we'll see this transition next year.

The entire premise of Born Again rests upon the Kingpin systematically destroying every aspect of Matt Murdock's life, both in and out of the suit. Melvin is an obvious target, and it's not unlikely that Fisk will be targeting his partner, Betty - a process that could lead to a fully fledged turn in the Gladiator suit for the character.

It would make for a tragic sequence, and further realise Murdock's downfall with a resurgent Kingpin on the scene. So, while not a villain in the traditional sense, expect Melvin to come to blows with Daredevil at some point.
