In the later episodes of Season One, Galindo and Luisa (better known by her codename, Adelita) agree to a truce in which they will work together, rather than as enemies. Luisa states that rather than defeating evil, she will point it in the right direction, using a cartel cut to support the poorest of Mexico’s citizens. In return, the rebels will leave the cartel alone, and offer soldiers to handle cartel business.

These two forces working together will create an absolute powerhouse for the police and Homeland Security to deal with, which could in turn result in their demise. Lincoln Potter knows how to get to people, almost managing to have Emily rat out Miguel, and will likely look to flip one side of the alliance to work in his favour, if not both.

This is before we address the gallons of bad blood between these two sides. Murders and kidnappings don’t tend to go unforgotten. Despite Miguel allowing Luisa to behead Devante as part of a peace offering, this whole arrangement went over far too smoothly.

Expect a considerably more rocky relationship as the seasons continue. Old habits die hard and there’s just no way we’ve seen the last of the bloodshed here.
