MCU: Ranking Every Netflix Marvel Season Worst To Best

One of Netflix's most recent Marvel offering also manages to be the best, bucking the recent downward trend of the universe to deliver its most complete season yet.

Picking up several months after The Defenders brought Midland Circle down on top of Matt and left most people believing him dead, he returns to the streets of Hell's Kitchen, ready to give up being Murdock and instead live as the Devil in order to stop Wilson Fisk - who has negotiated his release from prison to a high-security penthouse - for good.

The first season looks like a warm-up match compared to what follows, even if the season mostly keeps them apart, with Benjamin 'Dex' Pointdexter drafted in to do a lot of the fighting. The clashes are brutal and bloody, but there's also an engrossing crime mystery at play too with regards to Kingpin's control. The supporting players are fleshed out, with Karen Page in particular stepping up big time, and the season plunges Matt to horrifying new lows.

With a gorgeous visual style that blends the gothic with the religious, story elements adapted from Frank Miller's Born Again and yet going off in its own bold directions, some brilliant performances from everyone involved, and action sequences so good they make Season 1 look like Iron Fist (well, not quite, but you get the gist), this wasn't just a return to form, but a whole new benchmark, and - given the cancellations - one unlikely to be topped.

Which Netflix Marvel season do you think is the best? Let us know down in the comments.
