Money Heist Season 5: 10 Things We Want To See

Throughout scenes featuring the hostages in seasons three and four, the camera often focuses on a particular hostage, a young woman. It is eventually revealed that this is Manila/Julia, a childhood friend of Denver and Godchild of Moscow, now acting as the gang's spy among the hostages.. Flashbacks reveal that she was a candidate to join the Mint Heist, but the plans were too far along and the Professor could not find a place for her.

Throughout the latter half of season four, Manila is seen regularly reporting to the gang about the hostages, showing particular concern for Arturo's stirring the pot, and sleazy actions towards the female hostages. She is eventually forced to break her cover in the season four finale, shooting Arturo to keep him from staging a revolt.

As a positive protrayal of a Transexual woman, Manila became a quick fan favourite despite her relatively short amount of screentime so far. We're eager to see her as a full-fledged member of the gang in season five, perhaps filling the hole that Nairobi left behind.
