Moon Knight: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

It has recently been reported that there was a time when Hawkeye’s Maya Lopez would have been made Steven Grant’s love interest in Moon Knight, and as great of a character as she is, it’s a good job she wasn’t. Nothing against her, but Layla was simply exceptional.

She was everything. A bad ass treasure hunter with a conscience (sometimes), and someone without whom Moon Knight would have had no chance of defeating Harrow and Ammit. Even when Khonshu offered her the chance to be his avatar, she stuck to her guns and flat out refused an Ancient Egyptian god.

Like many MCU heroes she lost one of her parents far too early, but this trope was about the only thing you could consider generic. She carried the majority of episode four, and was one of the strongest characters the show could boast.

In the final episode of the series, Layla did ultimately become avatar to Taweret, who gifted her with one of the coolest superhero costumes in recent MCU memory, matched only by her skill and attitude in battle. Fans of the MCU simply need to see more of the franchise’s first Egyptian superhero.
