Moon Knight Trailer Breakdown: 11 Things You Must See
3. Marc’s Multiple Personalities
You can’t have Marc Spector without Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, Moon Knight, Mr Knight... etc. One thing which is apparent in the trailer is Isaac's portrayal of Marc's dissociative identity disorder. Flashes between the Moon Knight suit, delayed reflections as well as an obvious moment of confusion whilst holding a gun are just some of the side-effects we can expect to see in the March premiere.
But who are these different personalities and where did they originate? Developing DID from a young age after a traumatic experience, Marc joined the Marines and later became a soldier-for-hire. After surrendering to Khonshu, Marc assumed alter-egos to help cope with different situations. Steven Grant was known as a financier and Jake Lockney was a cab driver gathering street intel. The version of Marc commencing the show will be a different Steven Grant who is a gift-shop employee with a mild temper until crashing worlds with his mercenary past and Ancient Egypt.
After assuming the moon cowl, Marc suffers from more personalities including the voice of Khonshu and Moon Knight himself. Marc's personalities switch according to different triggers, most usually the Moon and Khonshu's commands.
