Mineta is just the worst, and while his quirk isn’t the absolute worst, it definitely sucks. Pop off is a strange mutation which causes Mineta to sprout sticky balls from his head, which he can pop off and throw at opponents, or bounce off them himself.

It’s not a useless quirk by any means. Similar to Sero’s aforementioned powers, its capacity for stopping foes in their tracks is naturally a handy skill to have as a superhero. But if Sero’s awkward elbow tape was something to scoff at, then Mineta’s threats of grape-flavoured justice would throw villains into giggling fits on the floor. And if he pulls too many balls his scalp begins to bleed, which looks extremely painful and unsightly.

Maybe in the hands of another, less pathetic hero this superpower could be spun into something more appealing. But as it stands, this absurd quirk is just another reason Mineta should never be handed a hero licence.
