My Hero Academia: The 10 Worst Quirks In Class 1-A

2. Rikido Sato – Sugar Rush

One of the class's more forgotten students, Sato’s quirk gives him a sudden surge of strength which increases his power tenfold for every ten grams of sugar he consumes.

Instantly, this poses a number of problems. For a start, it’s a real hassle to have to binge eat sweets in order to activate you power in the first place, god only knows how his stomach holds up. Many quirks formerly featured on this list suffer from a fatal drawback, but I think diabetes is probably has to be the worst of the lot.

Add this to the logistical conundrum of having to constantly lug around cakes, candy and cans of carbonated sugar, and then having to shove them down your gullet in the nick of time upon encountering a combatant, causing you to have to fight villains and indigestion at the same time.

The downsides don’t end there though, as every sugar rush is met with a sugar crash, and after running around jacked up on e-numbers, Sato goes all mush-for-brains, Kaminari style, with an added dash of cognitive disfunction and a sprinkle of exhaustion. Once his 10-minute sugar rush is up and the comedown hits, Sato becomes, as his Japanese hero name Shugā Dōpu suggests, a complete dope.

All in all, when it comes to the dodgy quirks knocking around this hero school, Mukbang Man is up there with the lamest – but he doesn’t quite take the cake though…
