Netflix has money, so they've already got the right tools to deliver on this.

Cowboy Bebop is a show that's enhanced by its visuals in a truly fascinating way. It has this rustic sci-fi aesthetic that feels almost gritty and dated, but also a bright, colourful style that catches your eye with every frame. If the producers want that to carry over, they'll surely aim to go as big as possible here.

The visual effects on this show will need to be good, as creating a convincing version of outer space is often a challenge. It's easy to assume that the budget will be substantial, as what we've seen already looks big and bold. So, no matter what happens, it seems pretty certain that this will be a very attractive show.

If Netflix does screw up the adaptation, then a set of striking imagery and a generally good looking programme could be a small consolation prize. At least then fans could get something worthwhile out of it.
