New Girl: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
2. Season Two
Season one made for a brilliant debut, but New Girl really found its legs in its second outing, which quickly made it clear to critics and fans alike that the series was only going to get better with time.
The season features a lot of what would drive the rest of the show forward, from the increased focus on Nick and Jess' relationship, Schmidt and Cece's own budding romance, and the introduction of Jess' divorced parents (played hysterically by Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis).
On top of these rewarding developments, New Girl's second chapter also features some of the show's most classic episodes, including the night out-focussed Cooler, Parking Space - in which the gang fight over the perfect parking spot - and Cabin, which sees Nick and Jess go on a trip with their partners, with disastrous results.
Season two is packed front-to-back with riotous humour, compelling character development, and a finale the show never quite topped, which finds Nick and Jess finally getting together and forces Schmidt and Cece to confront their feelings. You love to see it.
