Only Fools And Horses: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best

13. Mike Fisher

Only Fools and Horses
BBC

Lovable landlord Mike Fisher made his debut on the show in Series Three episode, ‘Who’s a Pretty Boy,’ where he immediately agreed to a scheme devised by Del where both men could con £500 from the local brewery.

From that episode on, Mike was a regular onscreen and regularly provided some simple laughs outside of the main plot. One such moment came about when Rodney walked into the Nag’s Head covered in tomato stains. After Del Boy asked Mike to give Rodney something to wipe it up with, the barman replies, ‘how about a slice of bread?’

Mike’s most featured episode is Chain Gang, where he is part of a consortium attempting to buy thousands of pounds worth of gold that hadn’t been taxed. Mike is comfortable around Bel Boy, Boycie, and Trigger, and it is a shame he wasn’t featured more prominently in other episodes. Kenneth MacDonald passed away in 2001 and was dearly missed in the final three episodes.
