Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, the NBC show Parks and Recreation was originally envisioned as a spin-off to the incredibly popular US adaptation of The Office. However, the show would soon grow beyond that and despite the initially poor ratings, Parks and Recreation would become a hit in its own right.
Over the course of seven seasons, the show's strengths came in the form of its characters and their relationships between one another. Seeing the characters grow over that time while providing plenty of laughs, kept audiences hooked and coming back for more year after year.
The show could be both touching and hilarious, often at the same time, and Parks and Recreation is still a well loved show despite the last episode of season seven airing over six years ago.
