Ben Wyatt, Pawnee’s Woman of the Year for 2017, proved an excellent showcase for Adam Scott’s comedic range. Often compared to Scott’s Henry Pollard character in the Starz series, Party Down, Wyatt’s downfall and subsequent attempt to rebuild his career was a rejected plotline for the show’s lead character early in its earlier developmental days.

Starting in 2016, Scott had a recurring role as the demonic Trevor in the popular fantasy series, The Good Place. He also teamed up with Craig Robinson to front the paranormal sitcom, Ghosted. Starting in 2017, Ghosted last just 1 season due to Fox cancelling it after an unsuccessful attempt to change the show’s style midway through the season. He also portrays Ed Mackenzie, the husband of lead character Madeline Mackenzie in the HBO drama, Big Little Lies.

A long time fan of the rock band, R.E.M., Scott launched a podcast in 2018 with comedian Scott Aukerman titled R U Talkin’ R.E.M. Re: Me? It is the second podcast collaboration between the 2 after U Talkin’ U2 To Me.

Scott will be the host of the forthcoming ABC gameshow, Don’t, where contestants will compete in comical tasks for $100,000.
