Peaky Blinders: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Lizzie Starke

Peaky Blinders
BBC

Lizzie has an interesting trajectory on the show. Going from a prostitute appearing in only one episode of Season One that is engaged to John Shelby, she is currently the wife of Tommy Shelby and the mother of his daughter.

The sad truth that she is hopelessly in love with Tommy, who can't reciprocate in the same way, is tragic and makes her one of the most sympathetic characters on the show. She comes from small beginnings, being looked down on by everyone and slowly raises herself up to one of the most powerful women on the series. Despite her new status and influence, Tommy still mourns for Grace and that is naturally difficult for Lizzie.

Lizzie has gone through a lot of hardship on the show, including a sexual assault that occurred because of a situation Tommy put her in. To watch her go through so much pain but still be strong and unbroken makes for a great character. Lizzie deserves a happy ending on this show more than most, and hopefully she'll get it.
