Prison Break Season 5: Everything You Need To Know

If you were expecting another 22-episode spectacular like the first two (24 in the fourth) seasons, prepare to be disappointed. Season 3 was condensed down due to the writer's strike leaving it at just 13 episodes, but Season 5 will be even shorter.

The 'reboot' will be an initial 9-episode mini-series, though the future beyond that is hazy. A lot of questions surrounding whether the show will run into a sixth season or beyond will be answered by the success of Season 5.

Nine episodes may be exactly what the show needs after a bulky last outing that dragged out minor aspects of the story into huge features. If the show can keep it tight, keep it fresh, keep it well-paced, it could really take off once again.
