Ranking Every Season Of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia From Worst To Best

Season 9 was a milestone season for It's Always Sunny. It was the first season to be aired on FXX which was, at the time, the brand new sister channel to FX where Sunny was previously airing. This season also featured the show's 100th episode and an episode written by Game of Thrones series creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

Highlights of the season include "The Gang Broke Dee," which featured the gang being their absolute worst to Dee. The very meta episode "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" mocked award shows like the Emmys for the shows lack of award nominations. The 100th episode, "The Gang Saves the Day" features short vignettes of each member of the gang thwarting a robbery and the aftermath, with Charlie's spiraling into a full blown Pixar-style animated short.

For those who are fans of the many colorful reoccurign characters in Sunny,"The Gang Squashes Their Beefs" sees the return of multiple fan favorites like the McPoyles, Gail the Snail, Cricket and Bill Ponderosa among others.

As a whole there's not much bad to say about Season 9. It had some weaker episodes like "Gun Fever Too: Still Hot" and "The Gang Makes Lethal Weapon 6," but even then it's still great, and to have it ranked this far down the list just goes to show you how strong It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is as a whole.
