Ranking Post-Friends Career Of Every Main Cast Member

2. Lisa Kudrow

Horrible Bosses Jennifer Aniston
HBO

While her colleagues scrambled to parlay their newfound fame into momentous careers, Lisa Kudrow simply returned to what she was doing pre-Friends - making quality comedy and working on projects that appealed to her.

With an impressive background in comedic groups including The Groundlings, Kudrow’s comedy bonafides exceed the rest of the cast, and her recent career backs that up. Her HBO series The Comeback sent up her sitcom star status with an acidic touch along with real heart, and is a shout for the single best post-Friends project by any cast member. She co-created and wrote the show, along with the also-excellent Web Therapy.

Aside from this, Kudrow pops up in top tier telly, including The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as the titular character’s mother, The Good Place, and hit movies like Easy A and Booksmart. She was perhaps the best part of Charlie Brooker’s year-end round up Death To 2020.

Kudrow seems the least phased by the colossal fame afforded to her by Friends, and has continued to choose projects - and create them for herself - with an eye firmly on quality control.
