Rick And Morty: Every Season Four Episode Ranked Worst To Best
4. Edge Of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat
After the first episode of season four, though not among the greatest the series has ever produced, there were few clues as to just how disappointing and underwhelming the rest of the season would be. Edge of Tomorty was a solid episode, with everything you'd expect from a good Rick and Morty episode - an alien planet, several bizarre concepts and contraptions, and Morty's series-long obsession with Jessica were all present and correct.
While the teenager allowed the crystal embedded in his forehead to make his decisions for him, with the ultimate goal of dying by Jessica's side, he was constantly being bothered by a hologram of his grandfather after Rick died horribly on Forbodulon Prime.
Though hologram Rick and his inequality jokes grew old relatively quickly, the real Rick’s journey from universe to universe, in strange body after strange body, was classic Rick and Morty. Traveling the multiverse is the show's bread and butter, and with the help of Wasp Rick, Prawn Rick, and the bizarre, fascist worlds he visited, this was very entertaining.
Though unspectacular, the episode served as a strong opening to the season after two long years of waiting.
