9. Season 2 Episode 8 - Milk Money

Moira Rose
CBC

After Johnny decides to break into the raw-milk industry, he asks Alexis to buy 12 pints of milk to make his first deal. Unfortunately, Alexis forgets which unit she's meant to get and instead, purchases 12 gigantic canisters, each filled with a gallon of milk. When Johnny learns dairy cannot be sold commercially in the area, he, Alexis, and Roland are forced to get rid of his illegal product immediately. When they are stopped by a cop, all three of them panic, give the wrong names, and insist they don't have drivers licenses (even though they do).

From beginning to end, Milk Money is an uproarious storyline since it shows how the tiniest misunderstanding can snowball into a catastrophe. When Johnny realises he's in possession of 96 pints of an illicit substance, you expect him to blow a gasket. However it's more amusing watching him calmly explain to Alexis that, 'These are not pints. Pints are little bottles.' The way Alexis doesn't understand the problem makes the whole scenario even better.

Also, the way Alexis, Johnny, and Roland freak out while the police officer interrogates them never gets old.
