Schitt's Creek: 10 Funniest Episodes

2. Season 5 Episode 1 - The Crowening

Moira Rose
CBC

Worried that she's becoming a fading star, Moira Rose hopes to revitalise her acting career with her turn in The Crows Have Eyes III: The Crowening.

Even though Moira constantly spoke about this film with unwavering optimism, we always knew it was going to be trash ("Crowening" isn't even a word!) But only in the opening episode of Season 5 did we see the production... and it's worse than we could've ever imagine. It's so bad, it makes Sharknado look like Schindler's List by comparison.

What makes The Crowening all the more ludicrous is how proud Moira is of it. As she caws for her baybays while wearing her preposterous costume, you can tell she is committed to this stinking pile of garbage. Despite the fact the director is fully aware the movie is an unsalvageable dumpster fire, the Rose matriarch sees it as "A timely allegory about prejudice".

As hilariously awful as The Crowening is, any fan of Schitt's Creek would pay top-dollar to see this story being adapted into a real movie with Catherine O' Hara reprising the role.
