Scrubs Cast: Where Are They Now?

4. John C. McGinley

Some of the cast of Scrubs were complete unknowns when they were hired by Bill Lawrence, but John C. McGinley was the biggest name the show could boast. With the likes of Seven, Platoon, and Wall Street on his acting CV, he was a genuine movie star.

His step into sitcom television may have seemed like a strange one at the time, but he hasn't ever really gone back to these kinds of movies since. Any appearances made on the big screen, in the likes of 42, and Battle of the Sexes have been relatively small.

His biggest role since Scrubs finished has arguably been as the titular character in Stan Against Evil, which ran for three seasons on IFC, as well as a recurring role on Chicago PD as Brian Kelton.

Most recently however, John C. McGinley made the jump from a hospital to a police precinct. The final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been one of the TV events of the year, and was lucky enough to feature McGinley for four episodes as antagonist and enemy of Captain Holt, Frank O'Sullivan.
