She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Season 1 - Every Episode Ranked Worst To Best

7. Episode 3 - The People Vs. Emil Blonsky

This episode focused on Emil Blonsky’s parole hearing and was the first taste of how the show would handle superhero legal comedy. Unlike his 2008 version, this new Blonsky is very mellow. Despite the stress of possibly not being released, he appeared calm and collected, much to Jennifer’s frustration.

The hearing did not have any serious tension. It was all about the comedy of how the odds were stacked against our heroes. The tone continued with Blonsky’s lack of awareness of the stress of the situation and Wong being late to give his testimony.

Wong here was also hilarious throughout, with the standout being his instant exit from the hearing after realizing the parole board were going to charge him with a crime. Then there was also a subplot about a trickster shape-shifting elf that was also joke-heavy.

It’s clear at this point that the tone shifted to a lighthearted farce now that Jennifer has settled into a career as a superhuman lawyer. If that is good or bad, it depends on how much one minds a less serious superhero show and the preference for jokes.
