3. Sherlock's Choice

The recent final trailer for Series Four (see above) gave fans a lot of juicy details to scrutinise over. If you pay close enough attention, it might even reveal the big climax of the season. Warning: potentially massive spoilers below. Or, alternatively, a lot of barking up the wrong tree.

By putting together a few scenes from the trailer, it looks like Sherlock, John and Mycroft will be locked in some kind of bunker together and given a gun. We have seen images from the first two episodes so we can presume that these scenes are taken from The Final Problem, the ominously-titled finale.

In one of these scenes, Sherlock is seen holding the gun with his head in his hands. On either side of him are John and Mycroft. It doesn't seem too much of a stretch to suggest that the finale will see Sherlock forced to make a terrible decision (whether by Moriarty, Smith or some other villain we don't know); kill his best friend John or his brother Mycroft. And, combined with our earlier prediction that Mycroft might die, we could well know how this climax will play out.

If we are right, this promises to be a tense and emotional final episode. But out of this devastating moment, who knows - romance could blossom...
