The Simpsons: 12 Guest Stars Who Surprisingly Parodied Themselves
4. Gary Busey
Episode: On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister If you thought that the sweaty, nervous unpredictability of James Woods' guest spot in The Simpsons was more than a tad unsettling, then Busey's brief but memorable cameo will haunt your dreams for weeks. Appearing as a host in an informational film about restraining orders entitled 'Get Out Of My Dreams And Also Out Of My Car', Busey tells the tale of Joe, a man who just won't leave his crush Mary alone. After increasingly disturbing scenes of harassment, we discover that Mary has placed a restraining order on Joe. This news inexplicably makes Busey burst into laughter - a raspy, manic noise that goes on for far longer than we're comfortable with - before he drops a brilliantly dark bombshell: ''I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Joe is me and Mary is a composite of twelve different women and a small independent film company, all of whom couldn't deal with me because I'm too real.'' *shiver*
