The Simpsons: Sideshow Bob's 9 Greatest Moments

2. Framing Krusty

Krustyquikemart In one of Sideshow Bob's most famous episodes, way, way back in season one of The Simpsons, we see Krusty's sidekick frame the likable clown after becoming frustrated at being the butt of all his gags. The "Krusty Gets Busted" episode was the making of Sideshow Bob and we simply couldn't leave its contents off a list containing his greatest moments. In this episode, Homer visits the Kwik-E-Mart and witnesses an armed robbery committed by a masked clown, resembling Krusty, holding a gun to Apu's head. After positively identifying Krusty to the police, the clown is sentenced to jail and for a short time, Bob gets away with framing him as he assumes control of his television show, turning it into "Sideshow Bob's Cavalcade of Whimsy." However, and kick-starting a feud that would endure for almost a quarter of a century, none other than Bart foiled Bob after making the police realise they got the wrong man. Thus was born Bob's hatred of Bart Simpson, and the birth of one of television's best-loved animated characters.
