South Park: 10 Most Disturbing Episodes

1. Britney's New Look - Season 12, Episode 2

South Park Ike Miss Teacher Bangs A Boy
Comedy Central

On paper, the idea of South Park lampooning the media storm that surrounded a troubled Britney Spears back in 2008 does sound like it'd be good for a few mean-spirited laughs. Little did audiences of time know, however, that what Matt and Trey had in store with us was much, much darker.

After learning that the press is offering good money for any pictures of the mentally-fragile pop singer, the boys set about staging a picture with Miss Spears. Only for their plan to backfire and she blows her brains out.

Somehow Britney survives this suicide attempt and spends the rest of the episode as a bloody stump with its tongue lolloping around as she tries to sing and speak. Britney's exploitation continues, despite her serious need to be put out of her misery.

Given everything that the public has come to learn about Britney in the last few years, this episode's underlying nastiness has only become more disturbing with time, and its final sequence just goes to show that despite South Park being a comedy, it's capable of crafting some highly disturbing horror moments.
