South Park: 10 Times Butters Was TOO Innocent
6. Super Fun Time
For as much as Cartman rips on Butters, the pair tend to find themselves together more often than Cartman would probably like to admit.
When visiting a pioneer village, Butters is tasked with being Cartman's partner for the duration of the school trip. He is given strict instructions not to let go of his partner's hand until they are back on the bus. His devotion to following the rules is tested when Cartman sneaks out of the village in order to visit a neighbouring amusement arcade, Super Phun Thyme.
The pair play air hockey, game on arcade cabinets, and partake in a roller disco, all without ever releasing their grip on each other. The two are completely oblivious to the fact that there is a hostage situation unfolding next door, and are convinced that the numerous police surrounding the pioneer village are in fact looking for them.
Butters is determined to make it back in to the village with Cartman, jumping from a moving truck to get back in to the village without arousing suspicion.
Even when one of the hostage takers holds the pair at gunpoint and tells them to put their hands behind their head, Butters is defiant in the face of danger, citing his teacher's instructions that he mustn't let go of his partner's hand. He even swings Cartman around like a giant club to knock the assailant down.
Only when he drags Cartman back on to the bus, does he finally let go of his, presumably very sweaty hand.
