South Park: Top 10 Eric Cartman Moments
8. Cat Orgy- Artemus Clyde Frog And Salma Hayek
Usually the most effective moments of early South Park stems from the show embracing the boys as children, often contrasting their sometimes genuine innocence with their profane language and accidental innuendos.
The episode Cat Orgy opens up with a perfect example of this as we see Eric reenacting the pretty awful 90s film starring Kevin Kline and James Smith, Wild Wild West. As the camera jumps to profile shots of each toy Cartman is playing with, his unmistakable voice is heard acting out each character, including Clyde Frog as Artemus Clyde Frog and Polly Prissy Pants as Salma Hayek. Meanwhile, Cartman assumes the role of the cool hero who saves the girl, something which many a child has done. Of course, Cartman saves the day and sings a parody of the Wild Wild West theme tune, but not before he voices Artemus Clyde Frogs intentions if they successfully save Salma Hayek. He states with an extra whiney voice, "If we save her, I am going to take off her pants and play slip n slide." In an episode which revolves around sex related issues, as people and felines are heated up by the meteor shower, Cartmans term slip n slide, perfectly sums up the boys early sense of humour.
