Star Trek: 5 Biggest Examples Of Klingons Being Dishonourable

3. The House Of Duras

Whilst Ja'rod's dishonour may stand out amongst other Klingons, he is merely one member of an entire house that almost seems to pride itself on its dishonourable deeds. From the 22nd Century Duras, son of Toral, to Ja'rod's own children Duras, Lursa, and B'Etor at the end of the 24th, the house of Duras has done it all. On one end of the spectrum, this ranges from lying through gnarled teeth, to murdering those who uncover damning evidence they have been conspiring to hide. Worse than this however, the House of Duras also gave a bad name to Klingon politics by being directly responsible for a Civil War that almost tore the empire apart. As if this wasn't enough, Lursa and B'Etor's lust for power saw them willing to (they did, but then didn't thanks to the temporal qualities of the Nexus) commit genocide on a stellar scale. Allying themselves with Tolian Soran, they are offered trilithium weapons in exchange for the destruction of the entire Veridian solar system. And it's 230 million inhabitants.
