4. Voyager "Threshold"
You know it's bad when even the writer disowns the episode. Tom Paris outfits a shuttlecraft with a special device that would allow it to travel at speeds in excess of Warp 10, which has so far been unattainable. First of all, a TNG-era shuttlecraft tops out at Warp 4, maybe Warp 5 if you wanted to "fly her apart". There is just no way you'd be able to make that thing achieve speeds a full-sized starship can't achieve. A starship would only have to be pushed a few points to break Warp 10, while in a shuttle you're talking about more than doubling the speed! Oh, and Warp 10 causes you to super-evolve, apparently... Into reptiles! Please, somebody shoot me now. Please?
