Star Trek: 12 Things You Missed From The Discovery Season 4 Trailer

Finally (and out of order), we get a good look at the USS Discovery bridge crew – Bryce, Owosekun, Saru, Detmer, Adira, and the Osnullus crew member –at their posts on the bridge, with a very concerned-looking Captain Michael Burnham front and center.

In the final moments of the season 3 finale, "You Are That Hope, Part 2", the Discovery crew had traded in their old blue-and-blinged-out 23rd century uniforms for fancy new 32nd century duds, but they've gotten yet another wardrobe change between seasons. While we do get glimpses of the older 32nd century Starfleet uniforms still in use in this trailer, the Discovery crew have swapped their gray with division color accent tunics for division color tunics with black accents.

Also, while we're sure there will be some drama surrounding Saru's apparent demotion in favor of Michael taking command, no one will object to the fact that both Owosekun and Detmer appear to have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Also, in earlier appearances in the trailer, Tilly appears to have advanced yet again, now wearing Lieutenant (junior grade) rank pips on her tricom badge.

No date is given in the trailer for when to expect Star Trek: Discovery season 4, other than sometime this year, 2021.
