Federation. Non-Federation. This anomaly threatens us equally.

It would appear the oft mentioned but never shown 32nd century President of the United Federation of Planets will finally make an appearance in season 4. We see a part-Cardassian, part-Bajoran official making a very presidential statement about the threat of the gravitational anomaly here.

Behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Discovery recently revealed that the Federation President, named Rillak, would be making an appearance in season 4 alongside returning character, T'Rina, President of Ni'Var. Cementing our assumption that this Cardassian-Bajoran character is the Federation president is the fact that she appears to be wearing a Federation emblem lapel pin.
