Star Trek: 6 Romulans Who Would Have Hated Unification (And 6 Who Wouldn't)

9. N'Vek

Spock Picard
Paramount

Featured in The Next Generation's Face of the Enemy, N'Vek was Troi's contact while forcibly undercover.

A staunch follower of Spock's beliefs and teachings, N'Vek would pay the ultimate price for his mission. It's easy to single him out as one of the Romulans who would welcome unification but he is the best example when it comes to sheer dedication. Utilising Counsellor Troi as a Tal'Shiar agent in part of his plan, N'Vek is also willing to be involved with some extremely risky strategies to complete his mission.

N'Vek is serving on a Romulan Warbird, carrying hidden, defecting Romulans in its cargo hold. In fact, they are Pro-Consul M'ret and his aides. M'Ret is one of the highest ranking officials in the Romulan government and as such this is sweaty palms time.

N'Vek is taking one of the greatest risks of possibly any character in the history of Star Trek and is fully aware of the price he may have to pay.

Aside from the Romulans viewers encounter in Unification, N'Vek is the only follower of Spock we meet outside of that story right up to Unification III.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
