Star Trek: Everything We Know About Section 31 (The Movie)

4. Distinctiveness To Our Own

Now, don't get your nanoprobes in a twist. There aren't any assimilators from the Delta Quadrant in this… we don't think. To that point, actor Robert Kazinsky posted the Section 31 teaser trailer to Instagram captioned, "The ride of a lifetime. No im [sic] not Borg".

We don't know his name, but then Kazinsky's character hardly needs one to stand out in that rather striking mech tech suit. He has a distinctiveness of his very own. A trait that runs through a lot of the cast, Kazinsky is also a Star Trek fan and then some! "ANOTHER dream job alert. […] ST is my life, I can pretty much mouth along to every episode of every trek," the actor wrote on Instagram when filming for Section 31 began.

If not Borg, then certainly CYborg, there is another partly metal man with a mechanical Mohawk in the movie. We only saw the back of his head, Georgiou muttering menacingly towards him, in the first photo to be released of Section 31 via Variety in March this year. Soon thereafter, Paramount gave further detail about the image. Named 'Dada Noe'*, he is played by actor Joe Pingue. Not even the Borg Collective has more information than that!

*from the French for 'hobby horse with a giant boat,' of course… not!!

Jack Kiely is a writer with a PhD in French and almost certainly an unhealthy obsession with Star Trek.
