Star Wars: 10 Classic Characters Returning To TV
7. Lando Calrissian
Solo: A Star Wars Story was beset by behind the scenes issues, and the negative publicity surrounding that paired with a last-minute marketing campaign explains why the movie underperformed at the box office.
There was a lot to love about the spinoff, though, with Donald Glover's memorable take on Lando Calrissian (played by Billy Dee Williams in the original trilogy) an undeniable highlight.
Since then, fans have been left eagerly anticipating a return for this version of the charismatic gambler, and it's reportedly going to happen on Disney+. Rumour has it that he's getting a solo series which will further explore what he was up to in the years between Solo and The Empire Strikes Back.
Lando briefly appeared in Star Wars Rebels and has had his own Marvel Comics series, but there are still plenty of gaps in his history which need to be filled in.
This TV series can achieve that, and given what we saw in Solo, "The Calrissian Chronicles" is an undeniably perfect title for such a spinoff.
