Star Wars Rebels Season 3: 10 Most Anticipated Moments

6. Return To Mandalore

With the pacifistic New Mandalorians brought down by Darth Maul’s Shadow Collective during the Clone Wars, it appears that this season’s Mandalore storyline will be a return to the Legends depiction of the more ruthless and trigger-happy Mandalorians.

Which is a welcome step away from the standard Star Wars lore in that the old school Mandalorians are a much more martial society that worships strength. Something that hasn't been seen a lot since the old Expanded Universe was discontinued. These guys solve their disputes with Blasters rather than senate-approved committees.

The Mandalorians are already split with Gar Saxon siding with the Empire and wiping out the Protector faction so it looks like a civil war is on the cards. But since the trailer shows Saxon armed with the Darksaber and Sabine using Ezra’s Lightsaber against him, it looks like the outcome isn’t as cut and dry as it might appear. But don’t expect the Mandalorians to see the obvious risk in following every power mad lunatic strong enough to take control.
