Star Wars Rebels Season 3: 10 Most Anticipated Moments

For a show that arguably has a few too many one-off episodes, the Lucasfilm story group has actually done a pretty solid job of pulling off the slow-burning storyline of Agent Kallus’s defection. Even though basically everyone watching worked out that he was Fulcrum II long before the reveal.

In the same episode that introduced the TIE Defenders, Kallus finally told the Rebels that he was Fulcrum. But the real development in that episode was the implication that Thrawn knows everything. And since Thrawn casually blew up a factory worker just to make a point in that episode, Kallus won’t end up scrubbing latrines for this one.

Since Kallus is behind Phoenix Squadron securing several Y-Wings, and actively helped ace pilots Wedge and Hobbie defect from the Empire; Thrawn probably isn’t going to be in a mood to string things out for much longer. Particularly since Episode 15 will see the Rebels mount an operation to rescue Kallus after his position is compromised. Basically, the smart money's on him dying very painfully and very soon. And at the same time, this happening in Episode 15 of twenty brings up the question of if the writers have plans to pull a Game Of Thrones and kill him off mid-season.
