Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
1. Season Seven
The final season of The Clone Wars had a lot riding on its shoulders. It had been six years since the previous season, and everyone knew that the show's final outing would have to pull off something really special to live up to what had come before.
Despite the pressure, season seven was nothing short of a masterpiece. Introducing fans to the Bad Batch clone squad and focusing more on Ahsoka's growth post-Jedi, it is without question the best season of the show.
The Siege of Mandalore. Ahsoka versus Maul. Anakin and Ahsoka's reunion. The links to Revenge of the Sith. All of this and more made sure it was something would never forget, full of stunning, refined animation, brilliant character interactions and excellent, subtle fan service.
The strongest aspect of the season, though, is its incorporation of Order 66, showing what happened to Ahsoka after the initial Purge and how she and Captain Rex escaped execution. It's dark, menacing and absolutely heartbreaking, pulling no punches and refusing to let up. Watching Ahsoka's growth is inspired; as is her relationship with Rex and seeing the Siege of Mandalore play out.
Season seven isn't just the best season of The Clone Wars - in one of the best additions to the entire Star Wars canon.
