Stargate: Every Series And Movie Ranked Worst To Best
14. Stargate Atlantis: Season 2
Season 2 of Stargate Atlantis picks off where the excellent 'The Siege (part 2)' left off and brings in a whole new angle to the setting, the Daedalus. Just a few episodes into the series, the young Lt. Ford was written out and the massive, brooding slab of muscle Ronon Dex was written in to replace him. That's right, Aquaman and Game of Thrones fans, Jason Momoa belonged to us Stargaters first.
With regular contact to Earth established, the proving ground that was the show's first season showed that they were ready to play in a larger sandbox. The conflict with the Wraith grows in dramatic consequences as a cure for their very condition might be at hand, leading to the creation of Michael (Star Trek: Enterprise's Connor Trinneer), the best solo antagonist that the show had.
Stand-out episodes include 'Critical Mass' (for the all important crossing over with elements of SG-1), 'Duet' and 'Inferno'. The series, much like it's parent show, went from strength to strength, without sacrificing it's core joyful cheesiness.
