Stargate: Every System Lord Ranked Worst To Best

18. Bastet

Bastet is one of the more unusual Goa'uld System Lords in that, historically, her reputation being one of kindness and benevolence - something generally antithetical to what the Goa'uld tend to stand for. Her symbol was that of a feline head, which was due to her original host being a member of the feline Sehkmet race, which much of her following being of that race.

She gained much of her true power when she chose to support Ra against Anubis, something that almost certainly saved Ra from total destruction. She was well rewarded by Ra for this, being awarded many new territories. Much of this however was undone when Sokar overpowered much of her forces and annexed many of her territories. She only survived by entering into an alliance with Kali.

The return of Anubis was the beginning of the end for her. She suffered renewed losses to him, though she voted to allow him to return to the council of the System Lords as well. However, following this and the fall of Anubis, she was killed by Ba'al's Kull Warriors following his annexation of Anubis's forces.
