Stargate: Every System Lord Ranked Worst To Best

16. Kali

Kali was one of the first Goa'uld to take on human form, as she served as a disciple of Shiva. Kali would gain the title of 'The Destroyer' in the Hindu religion, as she wiped many opponents to Shiva's rule. Shiva had taken (and refused to leave) and Unas host, so was seen as a demon by the people of Earth. Ra decreed that Shiva either give up this host and take a human host, or suffer the consequences.

Kali was ordered to, and carried out, the execution of Shiva. She was then elevated under Ra, taking control of Shiva's territories. She would later retreat to a small sector of the galaxy, independent of Ra, which angered him - but his own problems with the Asgard distracted him until he eventually simply let her have those worlds. She entered into an alliance with Bastet, which bolstered both of their positions.

The power vacuum left by Ra's death encouraged her to move to gain further territories, yet she came under almost instant attack from Apophis. This severely weakened her position, though she then encountered further attacks from the newly risen Anubis. Realizing that opposing him would be foolish, she voted to allow him to rejoin the System Lords.

Her last encounter with SG-1 saw her gravely wounded, though still alive, after a Reetou attack on her world.
