Stranger Things: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

Jonathan suffers from much the same problem as his little brother does. A lack of progression in his character from the first season. He does admittedly get a decent amount of focus in those first episodes, allowing him to show his caring side as he struggles to keep his mother sane as they hunt for their missing family member.

The problem is that he starts out as an unconfident outcast with a gentler side and then just…stays there. It’s been the same old Jonathan for three years now, to the point where you can predict almost exactly how he is going to act in any given episode.

His actor Charlie Heaton clearly shows he has range in the brief moments where Jonathan is allowed to break the mould a little, so let’s hope that season four lets the eldest Byers son explore a side of himself that we haven’t seen before.

And also, him photographing Nancy getting changed is still extremely creepy.
