Supergirl Season 1: 9 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Livewire'

4. Is Cat Grant Becoming A Mentor?

Whilst she may often have the hard front and an attitude that means anybody but her is insignificant, it appears that Cat Grant isn€™t really all that bad deep down. We first see this in Livewire as she berates Leslie Wills for daring to slate Supergirl during a radio broadcast, although many will have initially believed this to be in order to help out her company, which is wanting to associate itself to the Girl of the Steel. Then, when Leslie is in a hospital bed after the accident which would turn her into Livewire, Cat gives her some words of encouragement. But more importantly, it€™s the developing relationship with both Kara Danvers and Supergirl which positions Cat Grant as a mentor. Even though she seemingly doesn€™t know that Kara and Supergirl are the same person, at various points during Livewire she gives both of Kara Zor-El€™s personas a shoulder to lean on and assistance when needed. Whether this was just a temporary change of attitude from Cat, we€™ll have to wait and see, but the caring, near considerate side of the character suits her well.
