2. Director Danvers Delivers

There's no doubt about it, Alex Danvers was born to be a leader. In fact, the one good thing about J'onn stepping down as Director of the D.E.O. in the Season 3 finale was that it meant Alex would finally get her chance to shine in the role.

So far, she has lived up to those expectations, always exhibiting a calm, collective and cool demeanour - even when things aren't going right. However, as we already know by now, being Director of the organisation requires so much more than just that. It requires the ability to think on your feet, to make quick-but-informed decisions and most of all, to lead a crew into battle, knowing that the odds are stacked against you. Simply put: it requires Alex Danvers.

However, this week, we got the chance to see that, while she may be perfect for the job, she isn't perfect. Feeling the pressure from the president and concern for her sister, Alex snapped at Kara and even attempted to pull rank as she tried desperately to convince her to stay behind. She then broke down and voiced her concerns to her former boss, J'onn.

In the end, Alex followed her own initiative, disobeying the president to ultimately get the job done. Though there have been repercussions, this is just another obstacle for her to inevitably overcome, because she has proven that she can take the heat time and again, and she always comes out the other side stronger.
