3. What Happened To Amy Pond’s Son After He Saw Dean Kill His Mother?
In Season 7’s The Girl Next Door we learn that when Sam was a kid, he made a friend with a harmless kitsune named Amy Pond. Amy would later have a child, Jacob, who she needed to kill in order for him to survive. Despite Sam’s pleas to Dean to not kill Amy and let her live, Dean goes behind his back and kills Pond as her son watches on.
Dean threatens Jacob by telling him to be good, and that if he ever started killing people, he would hunt him down and kill him too. Jacob vowed that the only person he will kill will be Dean out of revenge for his mother. Again, this seemed to be another storyline that the writers completely forgot about.
It would have been great to see Jacob come back in later seasons looking for revenge and causing Dean to face the consequences of killing an actual good monster who was only trying to do good. Ultimately, Jacob returning would’ve caused a rift between the brothers, as Sam would’ve felt betrayed with Dean killing his friend after promising him he wouldn’t.
