Supernatural: 10 Spin-Offs We’d Love To See
Because 15 seasons just wasn't enough!
Supernatural is a show so great that even after a whopping fifteen seasons, fans are still desperate to see more. That's probably why rumours about spin-offs have been as common as action shots of the Impala. Even though the saga of the Winchesters might have drawn to a close, they are not the only characters in this wild, scary, action-packed world.
There's an endless number of stories that deserve to be told on Earth, Heaven and Hell. The show's lengthy runtime meant it could explore tonnes of themes and settings. This led to a plethora of characters who could easily fill up their own TV shows, alongside others who could benefit from a little more fleshing out/development.
Of course, spin-offs are very much a gamble, as their track record of quality is up and down like a roller coaster; for every Fraiser, there are about twelve Joeys. However, with the right approach, they can be an absolute blast that add more depth to the world of the show.
It's safe to say that fans would be in for a treat if these coming Supernatural staples were given some time in the limelight.
10. The Story Of John And Mary Winchester
This idea sits right at the top of the list, as it's the most likely to happen - how very exciting!
As of right now, this spin-off is in development. The CW even ordered a pilot in February of this year. So, as long as things work out, Supernatural fans should get the chance to see how this loving couple came to be and what they've gone through.
The choice of characters is spot-on here. There's so much potential in bringing their story to life, as the Winchesters already have such a beautiful narrative arc. Their relationship went through so much struggle and turmoil, and although the show explored plenty of it, there's still so much depth to be found.
Seeing some of Mary's hunting past would be awesome, and watching how their relationship was shaped would massively accentuate their journey in the original series. It would be tender, heartfelt and highly romantic whilst likely still chucking in some kick-ass action.
The proposed series even has the iconic Jensen Ackles signed on to narrate the show as Dean Winchester. Now, that's something fans want to see.
