No Supernatural fan in their right mind would say no to a series based on the figure who many consider the greatest hunter of all time. This was something on the mind of Eric Kripke, as the writers would allegedly float this idea around quite often. Seeing as the thought is already out there, what's keeping it from coming true?
Using real-life historical figures in the series was a fun way to explore an alternate version of history, and Samuel Colt was a perfect example of that. This real-life inventor had a significant impact on the show, as he created The Colt - which would lead to the death of Azazel - and the Devil's Gate in Wyoming, all while hunting demons, monsters and more.
One of the biggest appeals to this spin-off would be the old west setting. Fans are used to seeing hunters operate in the modern-day, but seeing how the old school guys got it done could be full of surprises and fun.
Overall, this character has a massive legacy, so seeing how he made his name would be nothing short of amazing.
